Agua Amarga
A quiet village in the north of the park, away from mass tourism.
Agua Amarga is one of Cabo de Gata's best-kept secrets. Located at the northern end of the natural park, this small fishing village maintains a human scale that makes it especially attractive for those seeking tranquility without giving up the beauty of the Almerian coast.
The village has an urban beach with fine sand, several fishermen's houses converted into charming accommodations, and an honest gastronomic offer focused on the catch of the day. The atmosphere is more relaxed than in San José even in high season.
From here, you can easily access lesser-known beaches to the north, and it is a good starting point to explore the quieter side of the park.
