Rodalquilar is eaten looking out over the valley, with the old gold mines in the background and no rush at all. It's one of the quietest villages, and its offering is short but the kind you come back for: local cooking, rice dishes and grilled meat, without any fuss. On weekends in season it's worth booking, and in winter almost everything takes a breather midweek, so it's better to call ahead. The best plan is to combine the table with a walk: the El Albardinal botanical garden and the mines area are a step away, and afterwards you eat with more of an appetite.
