Playa Cala Arena

Cala Arena is an unspoilt and isolated beach, ideal for those seeking tranquillity and a connection with nature. Its 55 metres of very fine sand and 15 metres width offer a characteristic Cabo de Gata landscape, perfect for a peaceful day away from crowds. The beach is protected on its right side by the slopes of Punta Baja, a distinctive rock formation with small basalt columns. To the left, you can see La Vela Blanca hill, the Arrecife del Dedo, and Cala Rajá. It is also close to the Arrecife de Las Sirenas.

How to Get There

From the AL-115 road leading to the Cabo de Gata lighthouse, take a left turn 400 metres before reaching the lighthouse. You will pass the Aula del Mar building. After approximately 700 metres, you will see a track on the right descending towards a fenced villa.

Parking and Facilities

If you do not have a 4x4 vehicle, it is advisable to park on the side of this track, between the main road and the villa, and continue on foot. The walk down to the cove is about 300 metres along a stony path with a gentle slope.

If you have a 4x4 vehicle, you can continue along this track for about 350 metres to a flat area where you can park directly above the cove.
