Carboneras
The northern end of the park, with Playa de los Muertos as a hidden gem.
Carboneras is the neighboring municipality to the north of Cabo de Gata, with its own identity marked by its fishing tradition and the presence of a thermal power plant that coexists with one of the most spectacular natural environments on the Mediterranean coast.
The jewel of the area is Playa de los Muertos: a cove of white pebbles and extraordinarily transparent waters, accessible on foot from the town, which is regularly listed among the most beautiful beaches in Spain.
The urban center has an active fishing port, a good selection of fresh fish restaurants, and a quiet promenade that invites you to stay more than one night.
How to get to Carboneras
