Playa Cala del Cuervo

Cala del Cuervo is a semi-urban beach located next to Las Negras. It offers a mix of fine sand and some rocky areas, particularly towards the left side. The landscape is marked by Camping La Caleta de Las Negras at the rear, which provides nearby services while maintaining a natural atmosphere. The seabed close to the shore is sandy, although the entry into the water may have some stones that quickly disappear.

How to Get There

From Las Negras, take the "Camino del Camping" road heading south. The beach is less than half a kilometre away. Access is straightforward and direct.

Parking and Facilities

There is a car park at the entrance to Camping La Caleta de Las Negras. During peak season (summer), this car park fills up easily due to the number of beachgoers and campsite users. An alternative is to park in the village of Las Negras and walk approximately 300 metres along the coast to the cove. Being next to the campsite, services such as a bar and ice cream sales are available.

Beach Characteristics

The beach is 140 metres long and between 20 and 30 metres wide. The sand is fine, though with the presence of rocks, especially at the far left. The swell is usually gentle. It is a suitable beach to visit for much of the year, although visitor numbers are higher in summer.

What to Do

Enjoy a quiet swim in its waters. It is a good starting point for the La Molata trail, a 1.5 km coastal path that connects Cala del Cuervo with El Playazo de Rodalquilar. This trail, of medium difficulty, can be completed in less than an hour and offers views of fossil dunes and cavities such as the natural jetty of La Joya.

Practical Tips

  • 💡 1. In summer, arrive early if you plan to use the campsite car park, as it fills up quickly.
  • 💡 2. Consider parking in Las Negras and walking to the beach if you want to avoid parking issues.
