Cala de la Media Naranja is a tranquil beach situated between Agua Amarga and Carboneras. It is characterised by its natural setting, with cliffs and native vegetation providing shelter. It is a good option for those seeking a less crowded spot than the main beaches, while still offering the quality waters typical of the Natural Park.

How to Get There

From Agua Amarga, take the AL-5106 road towards Carboneras. After approximately 3.5 km, there is a turn-off to the right signposted "Cala de la Media Naranja". The final access is via an 800-metre dirt track, which is passable with caution for standard vehicles. The journey from Agua Amarga takes about 10-15 minutes.

Parking and Facilities

There is an informal parking area at the end of the dirt track, with limited capacity. There are no services of any kind on the beach (beach bars, showers, toilets). It is a wild beach.

Beach Characteristics

The beach is approximately 200 metres long. The sand is golden and medium-grained, mixed with some small stones at the water's edge. The swell is usually gentle, though it can vary with easterly winds. The waters are clear and suitable for swimming. Visitor numbers are low to medium, even in high season.

What to Do

The main activities are swimming and snorkelling, thanks to the clear water and the presence of underwater rocks that host marine life. It is also a suitable place for walking along the shore or simply relaxing and enjoying the scenery.
